Human-in-the-loop AI workflows for media

Useful automation does not require blind automation. Add Review wherever a person should inspect the proposed result, then let the Workflow continue only after an explicit approval.

A Media Mill Workflow with ordered Actions that can include a Review checkpoint.

Review is an Action, not a comment after the run

Place Review between the step that proposes work and the step that commits it. The Workflow moves into a waiting state, Activity shows what needs attention, and the next Action does not start until you approve. Stop ends the run without pretending the decision was made.

Pause where judgment changes the outcome

  • Inspect selected highlight ranges before Cut creates a new copy.
  • Review translated captions before burning them into a video.
  • Check an AI-generated title or tag plan before using it in a formal archive.
  • Approve a final export when the destination is shared or consequential.
  • Let an assistant propose work, then keep the approve-or-stop decision with the person.

Keep the person in control even when an agent starts the work

The MCP server exposes waiting operations and a dedicated response-to-Review tool. An assistant can report what is paused, but it records approve or stop only after the user explicitly chooses and provides the current Review state.

The waiting state stays visible

Activity retains the run and its current step instead of turning approval into an invisible prompt. That makes it clear what ran, what is waiting, and what will happen next.
