Run local AI workflows on footage already on your Mac

Media Mill does not need a web link. Import footage from a camera, recorder, edit export, or archive folder and run the same local transcription, research, caption, and derivative-media workflows without uploading the source.

Import a copy and leave the working source alone

Media Mill copies the selected video or audio file into a new Library item. The file in its original folder is not moved or edited, and later Actions create new outputs rather than modifying the imported source copy.

Turn interviews and research recordings into working material

  • Search every interview transcript for a topic or phrase.
  • Create a research brief from each source before writing a treatment.
  • Generate consistent notes with a custom AI Action that follows the production's own questions.
  • Export Markdown documents to the project folder when the research phase is done.

Use text to narrow the edit before opening a timeline

Select Highlights can propose chronological keep ranges from spoken material. Review the Edit Plan, then use Cut for a rough derivative or carry the timestamps into the editor you already use. Media Mill is not a replacement for a full editing timeline.

Keep private footage on the production Mac

After the required models and engines are installed, transcription, AI documents, search, captions, cuts, conversion, and audio cleanup run locally. The footage does not need an Untitled Apps processing server because no such media service exists.
