Save media to Media Mill from Chrome or Safari

Install the Chrome extension

   Install Media Mill Connector from the Chrome Web Store

   Pin it to the toolbar if you save media often.

   Open Media Mill once

   The app registers the local connection that lets Chrome hand the link to your Mac.

   Open the extension on a supported page

   Confirm the page title, choose what should run, and select Add to Library.

Enable the Safari extension

   Install and open Media Mill

   The Safari extension is bundled with the Mac app.

   Open Safari extension settings

   Enable Media Mill Connector and allow it on the site when Safari asks.

   Use the toolbar button

   Choose the Workflow and add the current page to the Library.

The extension passes a link to the app

The connector reads the current page only when you open it or use its command. Chrome does not grant it browsing-history, cookie, download, or all-sites access. Media fetching and processing happen through Media Mill on the Mac.

Choose what happens after capture

Select Nothing else to use the Library's default Workflow, choose another saved Workflow, or add the source without processing it this time. The browser and menu-bar Quick Add use the same choices.

If the browser cannot reach Media Mill

• Open the Mac app once after installation or an update.
• Confirm the extension is enabled in the browser.
• Update Media Mill if the extension says this version is not recognized.
• Paste the link in the app when the page is not an ordinary web link.
