Download links or import existing files
Use the CLI to fetch a supported media link, process it through the default Workflow, or import one or more local video and audio files while leaving their original locations unchanged.
Run the media and AI pipeline headlessly
- Transcribe with Parakeet or Whisper.
- Translate timed text and create subtitle files.
- Burn subtitles into a new video copy.
- Run an existing Action or complete Workflow.
- Resume, rerun, inspect, or cancel queued work.
Search and export the local Library
List items, search exact words or local semantic matches, rebuild the index, and export transcripts or notes as Markdown. The CLI accepts a separate Library root when an automated job should stay isolated from the main collection.
Use MCP for conversation, CLI for explicit automation
The MCP server gives assistants a bounded, permissioned tool surface. The CLI gives scripts and technical users direct commands. Both use the Media Mill core and write the same ordinary Library files.
