Why Unmarked is different

Unmarked was designed around the whole life of one document. Markdown marks fade until you need them. Read mode clears the editor from the page. Tables behave like grids. The same file can become full-screen slides, a paginated PDF, an editable Word document or self-contained HTML.

The choices are deliberate. Five theme families cover light and dark, with separate typography for reading and writing. The app opens files from Finder, saves them in place and never asks you to build a workspace around the document. There is no account, cloud service or analytics layer.
